On the night of June 21, 1994, a group of scientists gathered in the depths of the Diefenbunker in the hopes of making the latest scientific breakthrough. The terrifying event that happened next has never been disclosed to the public – until now – 20 years later.  Using the latest in time-travel technology, we will journey back to discover the bunker’s most shocking secret.

The Haunted Walk of Ottawa and Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum  are partnering together to present, “Incident at the Bunker: A Zombie Adventure!” this Halloween Season. Guests will be led on an interactive adventure with the undead, deep inside the labyrinth that is the Cold War Museum.

This brand new Halloween experience is a perfect combination of storytelling, interactive challenges, unexpected surprises,  and of course…zombies.

Tickets are very limited and are expected to sell out quickly!

A Word of Caution About Children

Younger zombie fans are always more than welcome, but please remember we spend over an hour deep underground in a bunker, largely in the dark and surround by very hungry zombies. Due to the frightening nature of the event, we generally do not recommend this tour to children under the age of 12 or those who are a little more timid.

How to Get There

Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum

3929 Carp Road
Carp, Ontario

From Downtown Ottawa:

Take 417 West to the Carp Road Exit, number 144. Turn right (north) onto Carp Road, and drive 8 – 10 minutes to the village of Carp. Continue straight through the village (straight through the four way stop at the middle of the town).

Continue up the hill, past the fairgrounds until the village appears to come to an end. On the left (west) side of the road you will see a large billboard sign for the Diefenbunker at 3911 Carp Road – turn left at this sign and continue down the access road to the South parking lot located on the left.

Once you have parked, please walk to the Guard House (the small building opposite the library, on the West side of the road) to start your tour!

FAQ

Q:  Is this a family-friendly activity?

A:  Given the nature of this event (spooky Haunted Walk tour guides, an underground bunker, and ...zombies) we would offer a word a caution to those more timid souls and especially children under the age of 12.  Then again.....the kids are often braver than the adults!

Q:  Does this ticket price include admission to the museum?

A:  Yes!  Your ticket is all you need for this adventure.

Q:  Will we have a chance to look around the museum before or after the tour?

A:  As there are significant logistical considerations, participants will only have access to the building while on the tour. If you are interested in learning more about this incredible facility, we highly encourage you to take part in one of the daily tours offered by the museum staff.
