Whelan's Night - February 11th, 2012

Join us on the spookiest night of the year as we mark the 143rd anniversary of the execution of Patrick James Whelan for the assassination of Thomas D’Arcy McGee. Was the wrong man executed for the crime?  What signs are there that his spirit may still roam the haunted hallways of the jail today?

This special 90-minute version of our Ghosts and the Gallows tour will include a mock trail for Patrick Whelan where you will get to decide his fate.  The event will culminate with a ceremonial dropping of the gallows.  It is a powerful and moving sight that few get to witness - and those that do, never forget. This tour is not for the faint of heart!
